About Me:
My name is Alex Gopali, and everything I do is rooted in the teachings of my grandfather, who shaped my earliest understandings of craft, purpose, and spiritual practice. He was a master artisan in our Himalayan village: hand-making baskets, shoes, mats, and tools with patience, intention, and love. My mother, aunts, and elders continued this lineage through beautiful handmade clothing and textile work.
Today, through Gopali Imports, my mission is to preserve the cultural heritage of the Himalayan people by sharing their handmade goods, ancient sound healing instruments, and spiritual practices with the world. Every item in the shop is sourced directly from artisans, families, and craftspeople from the region where I was raised. These are not mass-produced items. They are expressions of tradition, community, and ancestral knowledge.
